Luna Under the PinkFullMoon

‘Luna Under the PinkFullMoon’ was commissioned by the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival for the exhibition “Encountering the Cosmos” in the context of the 7th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Arts. It has also been exhibited at PET Projects as part of the group exhibition “Post Emotional Therapy”, curated by Vassilia Kaga.

The project is consisted of a plush sculpture- ‘Luna’, a pole performance and a narration of a fiction about bat-hunts, magical caves, spells for protection and love stories of loss and trauma. In the story, the PinkFullMoon Cave is full of bats that dance all around, spinning on the twisted stalactites in rhythms of ritualistic tenderness and bewitching the moon in order to keep themselves safe from danger. Their cave is a shelter of empowerment against the biggest bat-hunt ever unleashed. Sunny and Luna had fled from their previous lives. In the performance, Sunny is confessing their personal stripperhood stories.
