Fluffy Library @ Atopos Contemporary Visual Culture

#TextMe_FluffyLibrary was produced by ATOPOS Contemporary Visual Culture and curated by Vassilis Zidianakis in the context of UNESCO’s Athens 2018 World Book Capital. Fluffy Library occupied for one year (April 2018-April 2019) the rooms of ATOPOS cvc, incorporating in the main artwork the rich book collection of the organisation, which consists of more than 2500 art and visual culture books. The project combined the logic of a large-scale installation with performances, collective storytellings, plush sculptures and furry costumes. It also operated as a workshop that produced an unconventional fairy tale. Antigoni Tsagkaropoulou, in collaboration with other artists, scientists, story-tellers, educators and the general public, created the story of ‘Fluffy’, throughout a year’s residency at the cultural organisation.
